Bord na nÓg Kenmare introduces boys and girls from U6 upwards to both the skills of hurling  and football. We are fortunate to have so many adults who give freely of their time  for the smooth running of Bord na nÓg, this includes Committee members, mentors, parents and friends of Kenmare GAA who help in many ways. We have wonderful amenities including an indoor hall, astro-turf and two pitches in an ideal setting .  Bord na n Óg has a busy schedule  running from the end of January/February where registration takes place  well into October and later catering for competitions in both hurling and Football right up to U16 .Normally U6’sU8’s andU10’s participate in local Blitzes and U12’s,14’s and16’s take part in the County League  and East Kerry League. We participate in Féile na nÓg and Féile na nGael annually.  We have represented Kerry in Féile na nGael (hurling) on a number of occasions and have been very competitive  in Feile na nGael  ( Football ) also. We raise funds annually  to help cover the costs of running Bord na nOg mainly a 31 Card Drive, Church Gate Collection and a Cycle. Two of our local Blitzes that we run   annually are The Mike  Maybury Memorial U10 Tournament and The Mick Mc Carthy U12 Memorial Blitz. It’s always an honour for any team to participate in these Blitzes. Winning them is an added  bonus.  Bord na nÓg is a sub committee of the Senior Board  . Kenmare Senior Bord  have always given us hundred percent support. The current Year 2020    has been a difficult one for everyone and although competitions were slow getting off the ground due to Covid19 I think  all age groups got to play hurling and football  both  competitively  and for fun.
